Buffalo Bills wide receiver Cole Beasley is currently on his team’s Reserve/COVID-19 list.
Evidently he has continually pushed the envelope regarding the NFL’s safety protocols involving the virus this season. So much so, he has had a healthy chunk of his paycheck taken away in 2021.
According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, Beasley has been fined somewhere near $100,000 this season, cumulatively, for repeated violations of COVID-19 protocols:
Bills receiver Cole Beasley has been fined multiple times for Covid protocol violations for a cumulative sum in the range of $100,000 per league and union sources. Beasley was fined $14,600 in August on a day league officials were in the facility to review the protocols.

The referenced August incident forced Beasley to miss five days of training camp as well. During the summer, Beasley indicated he did not plan to practice COVID safety outside of work.
The report goes on to state that Beasley has been fined double that $14K total on more than one occasion this season. Evidently he’s not following rules during work, either.
Beasley’s recent time spent away because of COVID will require him to be sidelined for 10 days. He can return prior to the Bills’ next game, but it remains to be seen if his team potentially starts to turn things over to other players.
Without Beasley against the New England Patriots, receiver Isaiah McKenzie had a team-high 11 catches for 125 yards and a touchdown in a huge 33-21 win.
