The Buffalo Bills released five players this Wednesday, including All-Pro safety Jordan Poyer.
Poyer’s wife, Rachel Bush, was nearly speechless when the Bills made this decision.
“I don’t have the words yet but they are coming (Along with so many photo memories),” Bush wrote on Instagram.
A few minutes later, Bush posted a heartfelt message about her husband’s career in Buffalo.
“Right now I just want my husband to know what a leader and inspiration he is. The impact he made will always be remembered. Both within the football world and outside as well. You went into Buffalo and gave that city something they were longing for. Changed the culture.
“You’re special my love and what you have done is such an accomplishment. A true game changer! My All-Pro, in life and on the field! We love you! Here’s to new beginnings! Something we both always welcome with open arms as we love excitement.”

Poyer spent seven years on the Bills, racking up 682 tackles, 48 pass breakups, 35 tackles for loss, 22 interceptions and 11 sacks. His best stretch of football took place from 2021-2022.
Teams in need of a veteran safety who can make impact plays would be wise to pursue Poyer in free agency.
