PFF names Bills' Emmanuel Sanders undervalued fantasy football player

September 6, 2021 by Bills Wire Leave a Comment

Looking to add some Buffalo Bills players to your fantasy football roster but unsure how long to wait? Well if you’re picky on who that is, Pro Football Focus has some advice on one player you can wait on and still get value with.

The football analytics outlet pegged Bills wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders as someone that’s worth waiting for.

Sanders, signed with Buffalo this offseason and waiting to select him in the 11th round of your draft can pay dividends, per PFF.

Here’s their breakdown on Sanders:

The 34-year-old receiver has been consistent throughout his NFL career, recording at least 700 receiving yards and five touchdowns over the last eight seasons.

He’s now with Josh Allen, where he should be the second receiving option, and The Bills’ final preseason game gave us a taste of what the future could look like. Stefon Diggs didn’t play, leaving Sanders to be Allen’s favorite target. He caught four of eight passes while lining up both out wide and in the slot. It’s not often that someone as experienced as Sanders still has relevance in fantasy football, but the situation is right for the veteran to still put up big numbers.

Sanders may very well be the Bills’ No. 2 receiver. There’s also Gabriel Davis  and even Cole Beasley out of the slot to consider.

Regardless, the Bills showed throughout 2020 and even Allen’s brief preseason stint that their plan will once against be to pass, pass, and pass some more. That’ll easily benefit Sanders, who should get, bare minimum, a few catches each week.

Buffalo will force balls to Diggs, but if Sanders is a backup on your fantasy team, that’s solid value for your bench.
