Patrick Mahomes was still stewing as he made his way over to Josh Allen for their postgame handshake Sunday.
Mahomes, who was angry over a pivotal offsides call on Kadarius Toney on the Chiefs’ final drive of the game, could be heard telling Allen it was the “dumbest f—–g call I’ve ever seen” and “f—-g terrible.”
Mahomes later expressed regret at his behavior toward Allen, and the Buffalo Bills star confirmed Wednesday that the Kansas City quarterback reached out to him to apologize.
“He reached out to me,” Allen said, via Thad Brown of WROC. “I’m just like, ‘It’s football; it’s a game of emotion.’ I know he didn’t mean anything by it. I know the cameras kind of caught the last few seconds of what we were talking about. He’s an ultimate competitor. He wants to win. That’s why he is who he is.”
Josh Allen said that Patrick Mahomes did reach out to discuss Mahomes lack of class after the #Bills win in KC.

Mahomes initially apologized publicly on his radio show on KC’s 610 Sports Radio on Monday.
“More than anything, I regretted the way I acted towards Josh (Allen) after the game. Because he had nothing to do with it,” Mahomes said. “I was still hot and emotional, but you can’t do that. It’s not a great example for kids watching the game.”
Buffalo beat Kansas City 20-17 to keep their playoff hopes alive.
