Longtime Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is expected to suit up for a different team this fall.
Elliott has been released by the Cowboys due to his $16.72 million cap hit for the 2023 season. It was a tough decision for the franchise considering all that he has accomplished in Dallas.
With that said, Elliott will eventually have to start thinking about which team he wants to play for this fall. Though a deal isn’t imminent at this time, it appears a suitor for the former Ohio State star has emerged.
According to Matt Lombardo of Heavy.com, the Bills are a “team to watch” for Elliott
ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler also mentioned the Bills as a potential suitor for Elliott.
Judging by the reactions on Twitter, Bills fans would be OK with Elliott joining the squad if the front office can sign him on a reasonably cheap deal.
Better be on the cheap if so. https://t.co/ewq7tIAdk0

“For a good price I’m fine with Zeke,” a Bills fan said. “Good pass blocker. Bigger back to possibly help on the goal line (especially if the QB sneak with pushing isn’t made illegal)”

Elliott would most likely handle short-yardage situations for the Bills.
In his final season with the Cowboys, Elliott had 876 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on 231 carries.
