Due to a winter storm set to hit western New York, this Sunday’s playoff game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills has been postponed.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced Saturday morning that she spoke to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell regarding this weekend’s weather.
Hochul and Goodell agreed to move the Steelers-Bills game to Monday afternoon.
Kickoff for this Wild Card matchup is now set for 4:30 p.m. ET.
“I’ve been in communication with @NFL commissioner Roger Goodell regarding the dangerous conditions in Buffalo this weekend,” Hochul said. “In consultation with our emergency response teams, @BuffaloBills leadership, and the NFL, the Bills game will be postponed to 4:30 pm Monday.”
Fans are convinced this postponement will end up benefiting the Bills. Their passing game probably would’ve taken a major hit if the game was played on Sunday.

At the end of the day though, the players and fans’ safety had to be the top priority for the NFL.
Just how bad will things be in Buffalo? A full travel ban will be implemented for Erie County starting at 9 p.m. ET on Saturday.
Since the Steelers-Bills game has been postponed, that gives the community enough time to clean out Highmark Stadium before Monday’s kickoff.
