Plus, DE Joey Bosa says there’s ‘no question’ he’ll be ready for training camp.
With mandatory minicamp in the rearview mirror, the Buffalo Bills are taking a break from organized team activities until later in July, when the team gathers at St. John Fisher University for its annual training camp.
Following the conclusion of the team’s three-day mandatory minicamp, the Bills signed first-round cornerback CB Maxwell Hairston and fourth-round pick DT Deone Walker to their rookie contracts on Friday, the seventh and eighth Bills players from the 2025 NFL Draft class to sign their contracts.
Today’s edition of Buffalo Rumblinks leads off with the news of Hairston and Walker’s signings, which leaves only one member of Buffalo’s draft class who hasn’t signed a rookie deal with the Bills.
Maxwell Hairston, Deone Walker sign rookie deals
Kentucky cornerback Maxwell Hairston, the 30th overall selection in the first round, is expected to compete for a starting job on the outside of Buffalo’s secondary. He was a second-team All-SEC selection who tied a Kentucky school record with three interceptions returned for touchdowns during his collegiate career.
The Bills selected Walker, a defensive tackle and Hairston’s teammate at Kentucky, with pick No. 109 in the fourth round after Walker earned first-team All-SEC honors in 2023 and second-team All-SEC honors in 2024.
With Hairston and Walker signing, the lone unsigned draft pick is second-round defensive tackle T.J. Sanders, one of 30 second-round picks still without a deal around the NFL.
