Ravens rookie safety decided to poke the bear.
You’re going to love this one, Bills Mafia. Malaki Starks, a rookie safety drafted by the Baltimore Ravens during Round 1 of the 2025 NFL Draft, appeared on ESPN SportsCenter Wednesday afternoon. During the conversation Starks was asked what NFL quarterback he wants to pick off the most.
The 21 year old quickly responded with, “I want to get Josh Allen, it would just be fun and a really cool moment for me.”

Perhaps it’s perfect that Starks became a Raven because the Buffalo Bills already seem to live rent-free in his head. It’s not uncommon to see a rookie defender strive to intercept the reigning NFL MVP and a top talent in the league, and Starks won’t be the last. However, given the track record of opposing defenders calling out Josh Allen, it was an interesting choice of bear to poke in Allen.
Back in 2018 (andearly in his career), Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey publicly blasted Allen, saying, “I don’t care what nobody say. He’s trash. And it’s gonna show too. That’s a stupid draft pick to me. We play them this year, and I’m excited as hell. I hope he’s their starting quarterback.”
Well, Ramsey is 0-5 versus Allen and the Bills since making that statement.
Although the official schedule has yet to be released, we do know that Buffalo will face Baltimore at home during the 2025-26 season. The Ravens ran the Bills out of their building last season during the regular season in a 35-10 win. Allen and the Bills got revenge during the playoffs, winning 27-25 in a divisional-round playoff game in Orchard Park, NY.
These two teams already dislike each other very much and now there’s another storyline added to the mix.
What do you think Rumblers? How do you feel about Starks’ decision to provide JA17 with even more ammunition heading into the 2025 season?
