The Bills-Patriots contest is basically for all the marbles in the AFC East and Phil Simms expects that game to be chippy.
New England took down Buffalo just a few short weeks ago 14-10 on Orchard Park due to its running game. Damien Harris had 111 yards and one touchdown on 10 carries as Buffalo’s run defense got embarrassed.
Simms thinks the Bills will be fired up for this rematch.
“You talk about this Buffalo defense, they played New England in Week 13 and were embarrassed,” Simms said. “Their pride was hurt and why? Well, New England comes out with six offensive linemen, we have 40 MPH winds, what do you think New England is going to do with the football? They’re going to run it. Buffalo couldn’t stop them 220 yards later, so today’s game is going to be chippy. I wish I could be in that locker room to hear Sean McDermott’s pregame speech because it’s going to be good.”
“This game is going to be chippy. … If you want to win the game today, stop the run, make Mac Jones beat you.”

Buffalo comes into this matchup at 8-6 and with a win, would tie New England atop the AFC East and control its own destiny for the final two weeks of the season.
Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET.
