Fresh off the PUP list, Brown hit the gridiron Thursday at St. John Fisher University.

The Buffalo Bills finally shared some positive injury news on Thursday, July 31, announcing that starting right tackle Spencer Brown has been activated off the team’s Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. Brown originally landed on PUP to begin 2025 training camp with a back injury, which the Bills reportedly categorized as “a flare-up” per Joe Buscaglia.

While it’s not ideal for Brown to miss any time, it did allow several reserve linemen to get extra reps with the first-team offense. Both Tylan Grable and Ryan Van Demark had taken snaps in place of Brown, with Grable reportedly faring better.

That experience does the entire team good, but it’s welcome news that Spencer Brown is healthy and now back working with his teammates in camp, having hit the gridiron the first time this summer on Thursday at St. John Fisher University.

Buffalo has seen a slight uptick overall with injuries compared to 2024 training camp, most notably to the team’s top pick, rookie first-round cornerback Maxwell Hairston. That said, a fair number of ailments are of the day-to-day or week-to-week variety, instead of much longer, drawn-out timelines. Fortunately, it appears the team is getting a bit healthier in time for preseason matchups.
