WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) — The new sign at Highmark Stadium says it all-the Buffalo Bills are welcoming Maxwell Hairston, aka “Mad Max” to their family.
Bills Mafia stopped by the Bills Store today and gave their reaction to the first round pick. The Bills Store already has pre-orders available for Hairston’s jersey.
“He seems excited about it, it seems like he’s going to be a great asset and we need great assets if we’re going to get to the Superbowl and win one,” said Nathan Krusko, a Bills fan.
“The Bills need to beef up their defense–cornerback is one position I think that they needed to address along with the defensive line, the offense seems pretty intact,” said Robert Walczak, another Bills fan who traveled to Orchard Park from Hudson Valley.
Something these members of the Bills Mafia noticed about Hairston during the draft announcement; his energy.
“It shows that excitement and the hype that all the players have, the feeling of family,” said Krusko, “You know the players are excited about being family and playing with each other. Just the energy the team needs.”
“Max, he seems like a really great guy, right away he said Buffalo felt like home, and so if he’s excited, it helps get the fans excited,” said Nicholas Pieri, a marketing director for The BFLO store.
The BFLO store says the draft signifies the kick-off of when fans start flocking to their stores to get the latest Bills gear for the upcoming season.
