Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen picked the New England Patriots’ defense apart last Saturday, completing 21-of-25 passes for 308 yards and five touchdowns.
During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Allen revealed that Bill Belichick went up to him after the game to congratulate him.
“He came up to me, which was really cool,” Allen said. “I got a lot of respect for him and what he’s done over his career. Obviously, he’s one of the, if not the, greatest coach of all time. For him to come up to me after a game to give me some kudos and dap me up meant a lot to me knowing the type of coach he is and the type of players he’s coached throughout his career. It was a pretty cool moment for me.”
Allen said his conversation with Belichick was very respectful.

Belichick gave Allen credit for the way he dismantled his defense on Wild Card Weekend.
The fact that Belichick went out of his way to congratulate Allen shows just how much respect the All-Pro quarterback commands this early in his career.
Allen will try to have an encore performance on Sunday night when the Bills take on the Chiefs in the Divisional Round.
Kickoff for the Bills-Chiefs game is at 6:30 p.m. ET.
