Josh Allen Injury Update: Star QB’s Status Revealed For Broncos-Bills

January 18, 2026 by Last Word On Pro Football

Superstar quarterback and one-time MVP Josh Allen is battling injury after injury, but that shouldn’t stop the quarterback from suiting up against the Denver Broncos. While he’s listed with foot, knee, and right finger injuries as was limited on Tuesday’s practice, he was a full participant on Wednesday and Thursday. Barring an unforeseen setback, he should play in the AFC Divisional Round.

Josh Allen Injury Update: Bills QB Expected to Play Against Broncos

Despite the multiple bumps and bruises, Josh Allen put up a great performance in the Wild Card round. Traveling to Jacksonville to face the Jaguars, the quarterback finished the night completing 60% of his passes for 273 yards, one touchdowns, and no interceptions while adding 33 rushing yards and two additional scores on the ground. He did all that despite not having much in terms of help at the wide receiver position.

Allen and the Bills face one of their biggest challenges this weekend against the Denver Broncos. Led by second-year quarterback Bo Nix and former New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton, the two guided the team to an AFC West title and a 14-3 record. Mile High is one of the biggest home-field advantages in the sport, and the Bills don’t have many healthy wide receivers.

Selected in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, Josh Allen established himself among the game’s elite in the 2020 season and has never looked back. While his team has won at least one playoff game in each of the past six seasons, Buffalo has yet to make the Super Bowl since the Wyoming product took over at quarterback. That could change this year, as he’s just two wins away from representing the AFC on the game’s biggest stage. If the Bills beat the Broncos, they’ll face off against the winner of the Patriots-Texans game.
