It’s long been asserted by NFL fans that Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has the strongest throwing arm in the NFL. But there’s one person who hasn’t been asked that question until recently: Josh Allen.
Appearing on the Pat McAfee Show, Allen was asked point-blank if he feels he has the strongest arm in the NFL. Without stopping long to pause, Allen said, “I like to think so.”
He then paused a short second to clarify, “And by ‘I like to think so’ I mean yes.”
Allen was then asked if he thinks he could throw the ball 85 yards, to which he said he probably could if it were in a high-altitude location like Laramie, Wyoming, where he played college football.
Some fans loved his confidence while others believed that he’s being a little too overconfident:
“I would have disagreed with that self-assessment by Josh Allen. As a die-hard Chiefs fan, I think there is a new kid on the block, and that would be CJ Stroud,” one user replied.
“He wishes so,” wrote another.
“I’m sorry but Anthony Richardson can throw 70 yards without a crow hop,” a third wrote.
There’s no denying that Josh Allen has a superb arm. That was the main thing every scout knew about Allen going into the 2018 NFL Draft.
But the fact that he has a powerful arm combined with superb mobility and solid accuracy is what pushes him into that franchise quarterback tier.
Do you still have the strongest arm in the league..
