It was quite the first road trip of the 2020 season for the Buffalo Bills on Sunday in Miami.
In a game that saw a TV outage, a lightning delay and some late-game drama, the Bills were able to hold off the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium with a 31-28 win to improve to 2-0 early in the new campaign.
For the first time since Drew Beldsoe in 2002, the Buffalo Bills had a quarterback throw for more than 400 yards in a game. It was the Josh Allen Show on Sunday as the third-year quarterback passed for 417 yards, threw four touchdowns and had zero interceptions, while also completing 68.6% of his passes.
Also having a stellar game for the Bills was new wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who brought in eight passes for 153 yards, and he reeled in his first touchdown with the Bills in the second quarter.
Through the first two games of the 2020 season, the Bills have the top passing offense in the league, averaging 359.5 yards per-game. Allen currently sits as the top passing quarterback in the NFL with 729 yards passing, while Diggs sits in a tie for first in receiving through two games with 239 yards.
The challenge next week will be even greater for the Bills when they welcome the 2-0 Los Angeles Rams to Bills Stadium on Sunday in a rare matchup with the former NFC Champions in 2018.
In the Week 2 edition of “Howard Picks the Bills”, Howard Simon was confident that the team was going to continue to build off a dominating Week 1 win over the New York Jets and go 12-4 on the season.
Despite coming out of Miami with a nail-biting win, Howard remains optimistic that the Bills can be a top team in the NFL this season. He picked the Bills to not only come away with a Week 3 win over the Rams, but also remain at 12-4 and likely win the AFC East.
