The Buffalo Bills returned to action this past Sunday after the bye week and improved to 8-3 on the 2020 season with a 27-17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers at Bills Stadium.
While Buffalo’s performance on Sunday was not perfect, especially in the second half, the team will look to carry over its performance heading into Week 13 when the Bills take on the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football.
However, given new COVID-19 restrictions for Santa Clara County in California, the 49ers will not be able to play their next two home games at the friendly confines of Levi’s Stadium. That means that Monday’s prime time matchup will now take place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, home of the Arizona Cardinals.
The Bills are hoping that this trip to Arizona will not end like the team’s Week 10 trip to State Farm Stadium, where the Bills dropped a heartbreaking 32-30 loss to the Cardinals on a last-second Hail Mary pass from Kyler Murray to DeAndre Hopkins.
With just five games remaining in the 2020 season, Howard Simon is feeling good about where the Bills are sitting right now. The Bills remain one game ahead of the Miami Dolphins for the lead in the AFC East, while Buffalo is currently tied for third in the AFC standings with the Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans.
Howard’s confidence was high on the Bills coming out of the bye week, as he picked the Bills to beat the Chargers last week and finish the 2020 season with an 11-5 record.
This week, Howard drew some ire from Bills fans as he picked Buffalo to lose to the 49ers this week in Arizona.
Nonetheless, Howard found himself picking the Bills to beating the unbeaten Pittsburgh Steelers the very next week on Sunday Night Football at Bills Stadium. He followed that with the Bills winning out the rest of the season to finish 12-4, and even earning a home playoff win over the Browns in the AFC Wild Card Round.
