What should I know about the Ravens?
Baltimore, last year’s AFC North champions, are coming off a 12-5 campaign that ended in the divisional round at the hands of the Bills.
Josh Allen edged out Ravens QB Lamar Jackson in the MVP voting with Jackson coming in second place. Jackson tied for second in the NFL in passing touchdowns last season with 41 and finished sixth in the league with 4,172 passing yards.
Jackson also rushed for 915 yards, the most among quarterbacks. Running back Derrick Henry was second in the league with 1,921 rush yards and finished in a three-way tie with Bills RB James Cook and Detroit’s Jahmyr Gibbs with 16 touchdowns for the most in the league.
On defense, linebacker Roquan Smith finished fifth in the league in tackles with 154. Kyle Van Noy had 12.5 sacks, good for fourth in the league, and cornerback Marlon Humphrey tied for third in the league with six interceptions.
The most notable additions are veteran wide receiver De’Andre Hopkins, who signed a one-year, $5 million deal in March. Cornerback Jaire Alexander signed with Baltimore in June, but he has been reported as questionable for Sunday due to a foot injury.
