If the Buffalo Bills taught Joe Schoen anything during his time with the team, it was probably to have no shame in going down a well you know very well.
Upon the New York Giants hiring the former Bills assistant general manager to be their GM, Schoen quickly dusted that skill off.
The Giants signed former Buffalo running back Antonio Williams late last week. Williams, 24, had previously been on the Bills’ practice squad.
In 2020 as a rookie, Williams did have an impact in one game in Buffalo.
In a season finale where the Bills had little to play for, they blew out the Miami Dolphins despite playing several backups. Williams was among them.
Williams had 62 rushing yards on 12 carries with two touchdowns that outing as well. So he does head to New York with some film.
Upon his departure, Williams did send the Bills a shoutout as well:
Forever grateful for my time in Buffalo

Not only is Williams the first of possible many former Bills players heading toward the Giants, he was Schoen’s first player he ever signed since taking his new job.
Williams has that going for him.
