The Buffalo Bills shocked the NFL world on Wednesday, trading All-Pro wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans.
Diggs had a nice run in Buffalo to say the least. In four seasons with the Bills, he had 445 receptions for 5,372 yards and 37 touchdowns.
On Thursday, former NFL wideout DeSean Jackson offered some insight on this blockbuster trade.
During an appearance on “Up & Adams,” Jackson said Diggs wanted out of Buffalo because he didn’t think the Bills would be able to defeat the Chiefs.
“I don’t feel like he thought they were going to be able to beat the Chiefs,” Jackson said. “The AFC is the Chiefs. I think he’d rather go with a young quarterback and new team that’s thriving instead of staying with the Bills and getting beat by the Chiefs every year.”
Technically, Jackson didn’t tell a lie. The Bills have lost to the Chiefs in three of the past four postseasons.

Even though Diggs had some ups and downs in Buffalo, he posted a heartfelt message for the fans on Instagram.
“I can’t begin to express the amount of love and respect I have for the city of Buffalo,” Diggs wrote. “Four of the best years of my life, the city welcomed me with open arms. I’m forever grateful for you all and the @buffalobills organization! Something special was built over these years with some very special men, that will always have a place in my heart. Billsmafia, so many great memories created throughout the years. Those games were crazy because of you. Sadly good things come to an end until we meet again.”
It’ll be fascinating to see how the Bills look on offense without Diggs. We’d have to imagine it’ll be difficult to replace his production.
