Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen will have to get used to throwing to a totally different group of wide receivers this offseason.
On Wednesday, the Bills traded All-Pro wideout Stefon Diggs to the Texans. They also parted ways with a pair of 2025 draft picks so they could receive a 2025 second-round pick in return.
Shortly after this trade was announced, NFL personality Annie Agar shared a video of someone throwing a football and then sprinting down the field to catch it. She wrote, “Josh Allen next season.”
Agar isn’t the only person who had this thought when the Bills traded Diggs to the Texans.
“Josh Allen gonna have to throw to himself,” one fan wrote on X.
Another fan tweeted, “This is where we hope and pray that Josh Allen is such a super-human freak that he figures out how to throw the ball to himself.”

There’s no question that losing Diggs will sting to some degree. We’re talking about a playmaker who had 445 receptions for 5,372 yards and 37 touchdowns during his time with the Bills.
Of course, it also doesn’t help that Buffalo lost Gabe Davis in free agency. He made some really big plays for the Bills from 2020-2023.
All that being said, we can’t count out the Bills as a playoff contender as long as Allen is their quarterback.
