Monday’s exciting Bills-Broncos game certainly wasn’t lacking for drama and fans seemed to love every minute of it.
According to ESPN PR, yesterday’s Monday Night Football broadcast drew an average of 17.7 million viewers with a peak of 19.8 million. Per the announcement it was the most-watched Monday Night Football game in a Week 10 in history.
“The audience of 17,728,000 viewers (ESPN, ABC, ESPN2, ESPN Deportes and NFL+) is ESPN’s most-watched Week 10 MNF game in the ESPN era (2006 – present) and up 38% year-over-year (Washington – Philadelphia). Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli (ESPN2) generated 1.12 million viewers, the show’s 25th consecutive episode with more than a million viewers,” ESPN said in a statement.
Not bad for a game that one month ago looked like it would have been a lopsided slaughter.

The Denver Broncos surprised everyone by jumping out to a 9-0 lead in the second quarter while the Bills couldn’t even take the lead once until late in the fourth quarter. However, the Broncos were able to drive down for a game-winning field goal attempt as time expired.
Initially, Broncos kicker Wil Lutz missed the kick. But a Bills penalty for 12 men on the field gave the Broncos a second chance, which Lutz successfully drilled.
It was a fun one to be sure.
