John Murphy’s co-host is back and covering Bills games again.
Eric Wood will be returning to the radio booth for the Buffalo Bills in 2021, after taking a season off because the COVID-19 pandemic made it difficult for him to travel, according to Alan Pergament, the TV columnist at The Buffalo News. Wood, who lives in Kentucky, was also working as a broadcaster with the ACC, and wasn’t able to cover those games and simultaneously arrive in Buffalo each week. (In 2020, the radio announcers didn’t travel with the team to any road games.)
Wood, who played almost a decade in the NFL with the Bills, joined the gameday radio program as an analyst in 2019, taking over the job from a retiring Mark Kelso.
While Wood was unavailable, John Murphy’s copilot was Steve Tasker, who had spent 21 years on gameday coverage with CBS before they let him go at the end of the 2018 season. With Wood returning to the booth, Tasker will shift back to his remaining roles, including co-hosting the weekday show One Bills Live with Chris Brown and Maddy Glab.
