A couple of rookies flashed their potential while veteran WR Elijah Moore looked comfortable in Buffalo’s offense.
The Buffalo Bills kicked off their Organized Team Activities (OTAs) earlier this week, as the Bills officially began preparations to defend their five straight AFC East championships while seeking to avenge their latest setback to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship.
Today’s edition of Buffalo Rumblinks leads off with thoughts on who has stood out so far at OTAs and the implications stemming from veteran pass rusher Joey Bosa’s calf injury.
Thoughts and impressions from OTAs
Veteran pass rusher Joey Bosa pulled a calf muscle and is expected to miss most of Buffalo’s workouts, though head coach Sean McDermott said he expects Bosa to be ready for training camp.
In other developments from OTAs: running back James Cook — who is seeking a new contract — was the only player who wasn’t in attendance for the start of OTAs; veteran wide receiver Elijah Moore quickly acclimated to Buffalo’s offense, flying around the field while displaying terrific speed and footwork; second-year safety Cole Bishop looks more comfortable at the back of Buffalo’s defense; rookie defensive linemen Landon Jackson and defensive tackle T.J. Sanders flashed their potential; and wide receiver Keon Coleman successfully created separation on a few catches.
