Details Emerge From Bills, Texans Trade For Stefon Diggs

The Buffalo Bills kicked off their Wednesday by trading All-Pro wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans.

As part of this deal, the Bills are sending the Texans a 2025 fifth-round pick and sixth-round pick, per Dianna Russini of The Athletic.

Buffalo will receive a 2025 second-round pick from Houston. That pick originally belonged to the Minnesota Vikings.

Diggs had a “down year” by his standard, but he still hauled in 107 passes for 1,183 yards and eight touchdowns.

Prior to joining the Bills in 2020, Diggs was already viewed as a legitimate wideout. He truly blossomed in Buffalo, though.

In four years with the Bills, Diggs had 445 receptions for 5,372 yards and 37 touchdowns. There’s no question he was the top option in the passing game for Josh Allen.

Now, Diggs will join a team in Houston that is ready to contend, especially since C.J. Stroud is on a rookie contract.

The Texans currently have Stefon Diggs, Nico Collins and Tank Dell as their top receivers. It’ll be tough for opposing defenses to slow down that trio this fall.

As for the Bills, the focus now shifts over to James Cook, Dalton Kincaid and Khalil Shakir. They’ll be the focal points of their offense.
