Dalton Kincaid Injury Update: Star TE’s Status Revealed For Bills-Bengals

December 7, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Football

Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid is arguably the second-best receiver on the team’s roster, but the former first-round pick is questionable to play with a knee injury and a back ailment. While nothing is official as of this posting, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport says the tight end “is going to try to play on Sunday…assuming he warms up well.”

Dalton Kincaid Injury Update: Bills TE Will Try to Play Against Bengals

Based on the wording on Rapoport’s tweet, this injury will make Dalton Kincaid a true game-time decision. While the third-year veteran wants to play, the knee and hamstring injuries are legitimately slowing him down and could prevent his return for another week. Kincaid hasn’t played since the team’s Week 10 victory over the Miami Dolphins, and the Bills will need him healthy down the stretch.

As of this posting, the Bills hold the seventh seed in the playoff picture and have an 88% chance of making the postseason. However, according to NFL.com, that number drops to 75% if they lose today versus 95% with a win. At 8-4, the franchise has the same record as fellow Wild Card teams in the Los Angeles Chargers and Indianapolis Colts, and is only one game ahead of the Houston Texans, who are currently outside the playoffs.

Buffalo faces a potentially high-scoring affair as they face off against the Cincinnati Bengals. While their defense has improved in the last two weeks, it’s still one of the worst units in recent memory. Josh Allen and company should be able to move the ball downfield, even if Dalton Kincaid cannot play due to injury. The Bengals, however, have Joe Burrow back in the lineup and are fighting for their playoff lives. At 4-8 and two games behind the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North, they’d likely need to win out to have any shot of playing meaningful football in January.
