Tuesday morning saw the Buffalo Bills go in a different direction at offensive coordinator, firing Ken Dorsey and elevating quarterbacks coach and former LSU/Carolina Panthers OC Joe Brady.
Among the first in sports media to react was syndicated radio host Colin Cowherd. Who said simply, “The stronger the talent, the greater the coach they need.”
The stronger the talent, the greater the coach they need. That goes in kind of inverse order, right? You’d think weaker players need better coaches. But the great, great players – the Kobes, the Michaels, the Lamar Jacksons, the Josh Allens … They have so much confidence in their ability that they’ll just bulldoze weaker coaches. Mahomes needs Andy Reid. Mahomes didn’t win in college, he wins Super Bowls in the NFL. Nothing against Ken Dorsey but [Josh Allen] was at his best with Brian Daboll: his best coach.

Allen turned the ball over three times in what was a sloppy performance from the Bills all-around on Monday night.
The loss dropped Buffalo to 5-5 on the year.
