Unfortunately, some terrible people sent death threats to Buffalo Bills kicker Tyler Bass because he missed a potential game-tying field goal this past Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Thankfully, it didn’t take long for humanity to show that it’s still redeemable. Bills and Chiefs fans rallied together to show love to Bass by donating to Ten Lives Club, a cat rescue and adoption group that he supports.
According to The Buffalo News, more than $110,000 has been raised by Ten Lives Club over the past 48 hours.
This story has taken on a life of its own over the past day, and rightfully so. It’s great to see Bills and Chiefs fans unite for such a good cause.
Now up to 100K! Good work guys. This is the way! @sportstalkmatt https://t.co/XYYgtwoWSB

“I feel for Bass, happy to see that some people have taken a nicer approach to Sunday’s kick,” a second fan commented.

Absolutely appalled by the people who have not. https://t.co/8BBfO8vcpP

“There are great people in the world, like the ones that are donating their money to his charity,” another person said. “Then there are the people that take a game so serious they are calling in death threats, over a game. It isn’t hard just be nice and if you can’t do that then just be quiet.”

Despite Bass’ missed field goal this past weekend, Bills head coach Sean McDermott said the team won’t make a change at kicker this offseason.
“I am confident in Tyler,” McDermott said, via Jori Epstein. “I’ll start there and end there. But in between those two…yes, there are kicks we need to make. I’m very confident he’s going to do what’s necessary this offseason to (get) right.”
Bass has made 107-of-126 field goal attempts since entering the NFL in 2020.
