Buffalo Bills should beware the Buffalo Bills, it would appear

Buffalo Bills fans think self-inflicted wounds are going to haunt the team.

Every weekend, we run a series of discussion posts where readers at Buffalo Rumblings chime in on something going on with the team that week. This week, I asked what the biggest threats to the Bills are in 2025. The response was pretty universaL.

The Buffalo Bills are the biggest threat to the Buffalo Bills.

Biggest threat to the Bills is themselves. Increasing mistakes leading to turnovers and missed tackles on D, not using their deep receiving talent to its full advantage, predictability on offense, James Cook and/or Tyler Bass regressing and bad game management from Sean McD would be the most likely threats.

Of course, the answer is:
THE BUFFALO BILLS

Some respondents got more specific, citing Sean McDermott’s end-of-game management, Sean McDermott himself, or just mediocre coaching in general.

It goes without saying that an injury to Josh Allen would be devastating to the Bills’ chances, so folks didn’t even discuss it. The clear second choice was the Kansas City Chiefs presenting another roadblock in the playoffs.

The biggest threat remains the Chiefs. Their coaching remains superior on both sides of the ball. Buffalo’s defense, geared to take advantage of the opponent’s mistakes, shrivels when they play a quarterback who doesn’t make mistakes. And KC has lost to one AFC opponent in the playoffs in the last six years. They are everyone’s biggest threat.

From Richard Whelan:

The Chiefs are the only team that is equal or better to us in both the QB and head coach department, at least in the postseason. As long as that is the case, they are the answer.

Anyway, are the people saying “The Buffalo Bills” just being negative nellies or is there something to the argument?
