The Buffalo Bills fired offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey on Tuesday morning.
Following Monday night’s 24-22 loss to the Denver Broncos, the Bills confirmed the move on social media.
“We have relieved Offensive Coordinator Ken Dorsey of his duties,” the Bills announced. “Quarterbacks coach Joe Brady will serve as interim Offensive Coordinator.”

Dorsey joined Buffalo as a quarterbacks coach in 2019 after holding the same title for five years with the Carolina Panthers. He got promoted to passing game coordinator in 2021 before becoming offensive coordinator last year.
The Bills have finished each of the last three seasons in the top five of scoring and total offense. They ranked second in each category during a 13-3 season in 2022.
Buffalo is currently seventh in total offense while scoring 26.2 points per game. Yet they’re 5-5 despite a plus-78 point differential that ranks second in the AFC behind the Baltimore Ravens.
Josh Allen threw two of his NFL-leading 11 interceptions in the first half of Monday night’s loss. The Bills also lost two fumbles, giving them 18 turnovers — second behind the Cleveland Browns’ 19 — this season.
Despite all those miscues, Buffalo took a late 22-21 lead with a go-ahead Allen touchdown run and extra point. Dorsey may still have his job if the Bills defense didn’t have 12 players on the field when Wil Lutz missed a negated game-winning field goal try.
Like Dorsey, the Bills hired Brady from the Panthers. They ranked No. 30 in total yards in his second and final year as offensive coordinator before taking Dorsey’s former role as Buffalo’s quarterbacks coach last season.
Buffalo has several Super Bowl contenders (Chiefs, Eagles, Cowboys, and Dolphins) on its remaining 2023 schedule, but Brady immediately faces a steep test when facing a stout New York Jets defense this Sunday.
