Buffalo Bills defensive end Shaq Lawson got into it with a Philadelphia Eagles fan on Sunday and it wasn’t for no reason.
Apparently, there was a fan behind the Bills bench verbally threatening Lawson and other players’ families throughout the game. It led to Lawson and those players talking back to the fan before Lawson went up to him and shoved him.
Lawson has apologized for shoving him but he’s still not happy with what the fan said.
“Before the game started yesterday, there was a fan behind our bench, who was making life-threatening remarks toward us and our families. We asked Philadelphia security to remove the fan, but he was allowed to stay for the entire game. Eventually, our emotions boiled over, and I made a mistake. For that, I apologize, but there are certain lines that should not be crossed,” Lawson said, (first transcribed by ProFootballTalk).
Despite the fan not getting kicked out, the Eagles are still reviewing the incident to see what happened.
As for the result of the game, the Bills lost 37-34 in overtime and are now 6-6 on the season.
