Plus, Dion Dawkins leads the charge for a new offensive lineman award.
All of the drama and intrigue around who will earn a roster spot with the Buffalo Bills will be magnified this summer, as Buffalo Bills training camp will be showcased on the NFL Films and HBO offseason production through the hit show, “Hard Knocks.”
Today’s edition of Buffalo Rumblinks leads off with thoughts on the news that the Bills will appear on “Hard Knocks” for the first time in franchise history.
Bills selected to appear on ‘Hard Knocks’
First, the Bills were selected to be featured as part of the Hallmark Channel’s “Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story,” and now, production crews will converge on the campus of St. John Fisher University to document every moment of action on and off the field during the Bills’ annual training camp as Buffalo’s offseason regimen will be the focal point of the popular “Hard Knocks” show.
This is the first year the NFL modified the process for choosing a team to appear on “Hard Knocks.” Previously, if a team made the playoffs the previous season, they were exempted from participating in the behind-the-scenes show. Now, the only way a team is ineligible for the show is if they have a first-year head coach or appeared on the show in the previous eight seasons.
