One particular Buffalo Bills fan was a bit too overconfident in his team’s abilities heading into last weekend’s AFC Divisional Round against Kansas City.
In a video going viral on X/Twitter, a dejected Bills fan named Derek can be seen crying in the mostly empty stands at Highmark Stadium seemingly long after Buffalo’s 27-24 loss Sunday night.
“Derek got a Bills Super Bowl Tattoo YESTERDAY,” reads the caption for the video, which is from TikTok.
“I’m speechless, bro,” a shirtless Derek says in the clip through tears.
The camera then zooms in on a relatively basic black-and-white tattoo that includes a Bills logo and the phrase “Super Bowl LVIII Champions.”

Maybe the play for Derek is to try and turn the last two numerals into an ‘X’ and hope the Bills can finally break through and win the Super Bowl next year.
With Sunday’s loss, the Bills have now been eliminated in the Divisional Round in each of the last three seasons. Dating back to 2020, Buffalo has been knocked out of the playoffs by the Chiefs three times in four years.
