However, after the Bills didn’t convert points off the turnover, it was announced that Epenesa was questionable to return. Moments later, Epenesa came out of the medical tent with his helmet in hand as the Buffalo Bills PR team announced that he had been cleared to return.

Buffalo, thanks to a sack by defensive tackle Ed Oliver and defensive end Greg Rousseau, sent the Kansas City Chiefs’ offense back tot the bench after just three plays and Epenesa never got back on the field. However after Buffalo’s offense moved methodically down the field after the ensuing punt and scored a touchdown, the Bills’ defense came back out again.
After just one play, Buffalo changed their information on the 25-year-old Epenesa once again — this time listing him as doubtful to return.
