With a couple of wide receivers out of practice due to COVID-19 protocols, the Buffalo Bills added to the position on Wednesday morning.
The Bills announced they have signed Steven Sims, a third-year pro who was recently released by the Washington Football Team after two seasons. Sims is the second wideout added by Buffalo in the last two days after the team claimed Rico Gafford on waivers.
The Bills are currently awaiting the returns of receivers Cole Beasley and Gabriel Davis to practice. Both are in the middle of sitting out five days after coming into close contact with a member of the team training staff who tested positive for COVID-19.

Sims signed with Washington as an undrafted free agent out of Kansas in 2019. He played in 28 games over the last two seasons, making four starts.
Sims caught 61 passes for 575 yards and five touchdowns while compiling 861 kickoff return yards and a touchdown. He also returned 30 punts for 186 yards and recorded 10 carries for 103 yards and a score.
Now, he’ll have a quick chance to impress the Bills with his versatility while reps are readily available in training camp.
