The Buffalo Bills will play the San Francisco 49ers at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, next Monday night, December 7.
The 49ers announced the decision on Monday afternoon. It comes after Santa Clara County officials, where the 49ers play their home games at Levi’s Stadium, announced this weekend that no high school, college, or professional sports can take place for three weeks due to the recent surge of Covid-19 cases in the area.
The 49ers issued a statement on Monday, which read:
“The San Francisco 49ers have come to an agreement with the National Football League and Arizona Cardinals which allows the 49ers to host their Weeks 13 and 14 home games against the Buffalo Bills and Washington Football Team at State Farm Stadium in Arizona.
“Information regarding the 49ers future practice arrangements will be shared at the appropriate time.”
“The Cardinals organization, State Farm Stadium and League officials have been supportive and accommodating as we work through the many logistical issues involved in relocating NFL games.
State Farm Stadium is where the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals play their home games. The Bills had just played a game there on November 15, losing 32-30 on a Hail Mary with only 2-seconds remaining in the game.
The game will kickoff at 8:15 p.m. Eastern Time on ESPN’s Monday Night Football.
