The Bills had a few unknown injury statuses on Thursday during the seventh day of their 2021 training camp. The team clarified them after the day’s practice.
Those three included:
- WR Emmanuel Sanders (foot)
- OL Forrest Lamp (calf)
- RB Christian Wade (shoulder)
Prior to Thursday, the last time the Bills practiced was Tuesday. During that workout it appeared that Sanders twisted his ankle but he did return to practice a short time later. Not practicing Thursday might’ve been a precautionary move for the 12-year vet.
Unlike Sanders, Wade was on the field at the start of practice. He was spotted leaving early and evidently injured his shoulder on Thursday.
Lamp has missed several practices, but the team had not disclosed his injury status until now.
Also missing practice Thursday was offensive lineman Dion Dawkins, but the team did announce his status previously. Dawkins, along with fellow lineman Ike Boettger, was placed on the Reserve/ COVID-19 list.
Boettger returned to the field on Thursday from that designation. Dawkins has still yet to.
