ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — WIVB’s sister station in Rochester, WROC, has learned that Buffalo Bills training camp is planned to be held at St. John Fisher University once again this summer, as has been expected.
This will be the 24th Bills camp held in the Rochester area. The team has come to the area every season since 2000 and only missed two summers due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
While details on the number and the time of practices won’t be determined until later in the offseason, it’s very likely the format will be similar to what the team used the last few years for training camp.
That setup would see a number of practices open to the public in late July and early August, with the team retreating from the public eye once preseason games begin.
Bills camp will give fans their first look at newcomers like Joey Bosa and Josh Palmer, plus the team’s new draft picks.
Digital tickets have been required for camp in recent years. They’re free, but fans need to get them ahead of time.
The Bills are slated for nine home games in the regular season, which means they’ll only have one home preseason game this year. Teams that play eight regular-season home games get two home games in the preseason under the 17-game schedule.
