ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Buffalo Bills are headed back to St. John Fisher for training camp, marking the 24th time that camp will be held at the site.
WIVB News 4 will preview each position group on the Bills to get you ready for the return of football later this month.
PASS CATCHERS
X-factor: Keon Coleman
I like to think of receiver rooms like a basketball lineup. The Bills have their quick guards in Khalil Shakir and Curtis Samuel. Josh Palmer, Dalton Kincaid, and even Elijah Moore fill the roles of a slasher. A separator who can win 1 on 1.
All that’s missing is a big man, someone who can play above the rim. That’s where Keon Coleman enters the picture. He’s a big boy standing at six foot four.
The 22-year-old showed promise as a rookie. Then, he got hurt in Week 9 against the Dolphins and never quite looked the same after. If he can take another step and become a go-to guy in the redzone, he will fill a big need for the Bills.
Position battle to watch: Who becomes Josh Allen’s 2nd target?
Dalton Kincaid broke out as a rookie and set team records. However, he dealt with injuries last season and took a step back. What does he have in store for Year 3?
The Bills added Josh Palmer to the room in free agency. Could he be that style of player the team was looking for when they traded for Amari Cooper?
Curtis Samuel was banged up with several injuries in 2024. He found his footing at the end of the season. Can he parlay that into success this year? Then, there’s the wild card of the group, Elijah Moore which leads me to my bold prediction.
Bold Prediction: Elijah Moore plays a big role in the offense
The former 2nd round pick spent the first four years of his career with the Jets and Browns. Respectfully, his quarterback situation was shaky.
Playing with by far the best quarterback of his career, there’s a chance he lives up to his draft pedigree and breaks out in Buffalo. Everybody Eats on the Bills offense and I think Elijah Moore could be pretty full in 2025.
