The Buffalo Bills have reportedly welcomed wide receiver Quintez Cephus back to the National Football League.
According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter: “Former Lions WR Quintez Cephus, who was reinstated last week after being suspended all of last season for violating the league’s gambling policy, has reached agreement with the Buffalo Bills, per his agents @_SportsTrust.”
Cephus was a fifth-round pick of the Lions back in 2020 and played in Detroit for three seasons where he caught 37 passes for 568 yards and four touchdowns.
Last year the 26-year-old was handed down an indefinite suspension for violating the NFL’s gambling policy and Detroit subsequently cut him.
Recently though Cephus was reinstated by the league and has now found his next team.
The Bills are in desperate need of wide receiver help after moving off of Stefon Diggs so there should be plenty of opportunity for the former Wisconsin star to get a shot at cracking Buffalo’s 53-man roster.

Shortly after the news Cephus tweeted out: “Thank you God #BillsMafia.”
Buffalo also drafted Florida State’s Keon Coleman with the first pick of the second round on Day 2 of the NFL Draft which should be a huge pickup for Josh Allen and the Bills offense.
