A loaded draft class awaits — should the Bills trade up, down, or sit back and let the chips fall their way?

The 2024 NFL Draft kicks off tomorrow night in the Motor City, with plenty on the line for this year’s class of college prospects and all 32 NFL teams. The Buffalo Bills are scheduled to make their first selection with pick 28, which means plenty of waiting for all of Bills Mafia if they stay put.
But not moving could prove too much to bear for general manager Brandon Beane and company — with so many enticing options and plenty of areas to improve within the roster. It’s almost universally agreed upon that Buffalo must exit this year’s draft with a significant investment in the wide receiver room.
Finding a solution to that need could of course happen in a variety of ways — either moving up to land one of the draft’s top three receivers, finding luck via a board that drops their way, or moving back and picking up additional opportunities to add talent en masse.
While we can’t rule out the idea of the Bills making a play for someone other than a receiver, it feels as though that’s the play on Thursday — and certainly serves as a perfect vehicle for this discussion. But again, moves (or failing to do so) can also happen for someone who doesn’t play receiver. So, what do you believe Buffalo’s front office should do on Thursday night, depending how things play out? Are you okay with them giving up future assets such as a first-round draft pick down the road? Instead, are you content to see them trade back and stockpile talent in such a deep draft? Maybe doing nothing is most appealing when it feels like a can’t-miss prospect is bound to be available?
