The Buffalo Bills announced on Saturday that wide receiver John Brown has been placed on Injured Reserve. He will miss at least the next three weeks with an ankle injury.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports it’s a high ankle sprain, and the team is hopeful for his return after he misses the required three games on Injured Reserve.
The team also announced on Saturday that they have elevated wide receiver Jake Kumerow and linebacker Darron Lee from the practice squad as their two weekly standard elevations. The Bills have also officially placed offensive lineman Cody Ford on Injured Reserve.
Head coach Sean McDermott announced on Friday that Ford will miss the remainder of the 2020 season, including the playoffs, after injuring his knee in practice this week.
The Bills now have three open roster spots following Saturday’s moves. They officially have 50 players on the active roster, and 52 are available for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers with the elevations of Lee and Kumerow.
Linebacker Tyrel Dodson, cornerback Cam Lewis, and wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins are all eligible to come off Injured Reserve.
