Over the last few seasons, few, if any, teams have experienced as much heartbreak as the Buffalo Bills.
The Bills have consistently been one of the best teams in the NFL since 2019, yet have repeatedly fallen short in the playoffs. Buffalo is 0-3 against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, including the infamous “13 Seconds” game and this season’s new, painful iteration of “Wide Right.”
Late Sunday night, the official Bills X/Twitter account posted a motivational graphic featuring the Caesars Superdome, site of next year’s Super Bowl, along with the slogan “Next year starts NOW.”
It’s not being particularly well-received by fans.
“Here we go again,” said one fan, including an appropriate SpongeBob GIF.
“Please I beg you stop posting the trophy before you win it,” said another fan who also used a SpongeBob GIF.
“This inevitable divisional round loss is gonna hurt like hell,” a third Bills fan added.
“I pray to Jesus everyday. Just get 1 Super Bowl win; GOD PLEASEEEEEEE,” a fourth fan chimed in.
“If we don’t go wide right and don’t have too many men on the field for our field goal kicks, we might have a fighting chance, maybe,” said a fifth fan.
Indeed, many of the quote-tweets are opposing fans taunting about the Lombardi Trophy being put “wide right” in the graphic. Bills fans aren’t happy about it either.

The Bills continue to wait for their “next year” to finally arrive.
Perhaps it will come in 2024, but it wouldn’t shock us if we’re writing a post similar to this one at this time next February.
