Klein spent two seasons with the Bills, playing in 31 games which included 15 starts. Over that span, the 30-year-old linebacker recorded 110 tackles, nine tackles for loss, 10 QB hits, an interception and a fumble recovery.
Klein’s set to enter his 10th season in the NFL in 2022.
Prior to his stop in Buffalo, New York, the Iowa State product spent three seasons in New Orleans; after four years with the Carolina Panthers who drafted him in the fifth round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
His most productive years came with the Saints, where Klein got his most starts. Over those three campaigns in the bayou, the LB tallied 193 tackles, 6.5 sacks and a pair of interceptions.

Klein was one of the more reliable rotational players in Sean McDermott’s defense. But given his high cap figure, the Bills will likely look to see if they can supplement some of that production with a less expensive option.
By moving off of the veteran LB, Buffalo cleared up $5.1 million in cap space.
