Tracking all of the team’s potential and confirmed dates with destiny in 2025

Welcome to the NFL schedule release! The 2025 edition includes multiple slow-drip announcements from TV networks throughout the league leading up to Wednesday’s official schedule release, so we are starting early.

Monday, May 12 gives us the first glimpse of upcoming matchups with reveals on NBC (“The Today Show”), Fox, and Prime Video. Then on Tuesday, May 13 you can tune in for the latest NFL schedule news and rumors with ESPN (“Good Morning America”), and the NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” for information on the 2025 season’s International Games slate.

To kick things off, here’s the list of teams the Buffalo Bills play, including home/away designations that we’ve known since January. Below that, you’ll find the team’s strength of schedule and rumors we’ve uncovered, including Monday morning’s NBC hit by a certain league MVP.

2025 Buffalo Bills schedule rumors

Until we get some more concrete week-by-week information, we’ll just go with top-line stuff for now.

Josh Allen was rumored on ‘The Today Show’ Monday, but it’ll be Wednesday instead for potential Sunday Night Football announcement

The big rumor over the weekend into Monday morning was that the league MVP was going to be on NBC’s morning show. The network only announced one game Monday, though, and that Sunday Night Football tease did not include the Buffalo Bills. Allen did not make an appearance, but Melissa Holmes of the local NBC affiliate confirmed later on Monday that Allen would be on the show Wednesday from 9 to 10.

The game NBC announced was the Philadelphia Eagles hosting NFL Opening Night (also on NBC) in the Thursday night game. They are playing the Dallas Cowboys, the NFL announced Monday.

Buffalo will certainly be on the SNF docket later. The Baltimore Ravens and an MVP showdown between Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen makes a lot of sense of the Bills/Bengals game. I don’t think the Chiefs are in this spot as CBS will want to protect that game for a 4:25 national window.

NFL partners will drip out news all week

NBC, FOX, and Prime Video will all have announcements of part of their schedule on Monday, May 12th. ESPN will have some Monday Night Football announcements on Tuesday’s Good Morning America. Netflix will announce Christmas Day games on Wednesday alongside CBS and their schedule release.

Bills going international in 2025?

Buffalo plays at four potential international NFL hosts in 2025: Dolphins (Madrid, Spain), Steelers (Dublin, Ireland), Browns (London, England), and Jets (London, England).

The NFL hasn’t put a divisional game overseas since 2019, so I think it’s really unlikely Buffalo plays Miami in Spain and mostly unlikely Buffalo plays at the Jets in London. While not exclusive, they’ve tended to favor inter-conference matchups, but none of those are on here.

Josh Allen set to join “The Today Show” during NFL Schedule Release

The reigning NFL MVP will join “The Today Show” on NBC during the morning hours of Wednesday, May 14. To find out what Allen has to share, whether that’s a juicy schedule/matchup reveal, or something to do with his off-field life (or all of the above), be sure to tune in!

Dion Dawkins taking a prominent role in NFL schedule release

Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins will be on NFL Network Wednesday night during their coverage of the schedule release.

Buffalo Bills 2025 projected win totals and strength of schedule

The Bills enter schedule-release week staring at the fifth-easiest strength-of-schedule (.467). That rating is of course based off the results from the 2024 NFL regular season, whereas the true measure of their season’s schedule will be revealed as the 2025 NFL season unfolds. But for now, Bills Mafia can rejoice in the fact that Buffalo falls well below the average line of perceived difficulty this upcoming season.
