The 2025 regular season hasn’t gone as expected for the Chicago Bears, so they will probably trade wide receiver DJ Moore depending on how things go against the Dallas Cowboys. According to a report, one source believes the Bears may move on from Moore if the Bears continue to go on a downward trend, and it will only get worse if they go 0-3. Despite repairing the offensive line as well as the defensive front, things haven’t gotten better, as quarterback Caleb Williams hasn’t been able to connect with Moore in the aerial attack. The good news is that the Bears have some young talent that haven’t been getting enough playing time, while the proven stars like Moore are better off on a contending team.
Originally selected in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, the former Maryland product was hoping to establish himself as a true No. 1 pass-catcher on the roster. However, it’s more of Rome Odunze, who may take that spot and get more reps in as the weeks fly by. It doesn’t mean there is something wrong with Moore, but it won’t make sense for him to stick around, and the Bears could use his value to garner some draft capital to build for the future. Odunze and rookie Luther Burden look to be the future of this Bears receiving core group, while Moore seems to be the odd man out in this situation and would be a better fit for these three possible contenders.

Potential Destinations
Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs must figure out their wide receiver situation before it gets worse. With Xavier Worthy still missing games due to an injury, and Rashee Rice serving his suspension, the Chiefs must position themselves to trade for a true superstar to revive their season. This isn’t to say that Marquise Brown, Tyquan Thornton or JuJu Smith-Schuster can’t keep this offensive pass attack afloat, but Moore’s presence would help add speed and versatility as a true WR1 form of his own. Patrick Mahomes knows how to bring out the best in his receivers, which is why Thornton got a starting role in Kansas City.
Moore is the perfect fit for what the Chiefs should be looking for in a reliable weapon. He isn’t going to break records as soon as he joins the Chiefs, but he would benefit from this type of scenery.
Los Angeles Chargers
The same can be said about the Los Angeles Chargers. However, they’re in the best position to ride on the momentum and quickly put quarterback Justin Herbert as a true threat in the AFC. This would only continue to happen if they can trade for another wide receiver. While Ladd McConkey and veteran Keenan Allen are performing at their peak alongside a more consistent Quentin Johnston, the Chargers adding a true formidable weapon like Moore would probably put this roster in the best spot to make the Super Bowl.
Buffalo Bills
Meanwhile, the Buffalo Bills are one of the few AFC teams, like the Chiefs and Chargers, that will face each other in the postseason at some point. After trading Stefon Diggs years ago, they never had a true superstar, but Josh Allen has been able to distribute the ball either way between Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman and Elijah Moore. However, they’re in a position to win a Super Bowl sooner rather than later, and Moore joining them adds more firepower to it.
