During an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” this Wednesday, ESPN insider Adam Schefter suggested that a prominent head coach in the AFC East is on the hot seat.
Schefter told McAfee “the pressure is on” for Bills head coach Sean McDermott.
McDermott has been coaching the Bills since 2017. They’ve only missed the playoffs once with him at the helm.
While there’s still plenty of football left this season, McDermott is on track to have one of his worst years yet. If the Bills (5-5) continue to struggle, he could get fired.
“They changed their defensive coordinator in the offseason. They changed their offensive in season,” Schefter said. “If they don’t get the results they want, they’re gonna have to look at everybody here, right? At some point in time, there are no other people to get rid of.
“To me, it’s some basic common sense that Sean McDermott knows the pressure is on him. He has to put up with a team that many people thought had Super Bowl capabilities. This team has struggled recently to regain the form that many people thought they’d have. I think he knows the pressure is on. Everybody is watching them right now.”

The Bills already put their coaching staff on notice this week, firing offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey.
Do you think McDermott will get fired after this season is over?
