The Bills and wide receiver Stefon Diggs restructured his contract on Tuesday. Changing up a deal is something we’ve seen a lot of this offseason from Buffalo general manager Brandon Beane.
Due to the drop in the salary cap after COVID-19 kept revenues in the NFL down last year, the Bills had to find salary cap space somewhere to make further changes to their roster. Beane has become an expert at this, and his latest effort created $7.8 million in addition cap space.
According to Spotrac, that leaves Buffalo with $11.1M in total cap space now. That’s plenty of room to make another transaction or two before training camp gets going later this summer.
