The Buffalo Bills had LSU defensive tackle Maason Smith in Orchard Park for a visit ahead of the 2024 NFL draft.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Smith’s visit on Monday:
Smith is projected to be an early selection on the third day of the draft. Buffalo currently holds eight of their 10 draft slots on Day 3.
As noted, NFL teams are intrigued by his potential, however, injury has kept him off the field in college. Smith only played in 20 career games.
But his strength and versatile playing style helped Smith record 47 tackles, including 9.5 for loss, and 6.5 sacks in those outings. The Bills coaching staff has often liked their defensive line prospects to have the versatility to play up-and-down the line.
